Fish Frames!

We made some fish frames today for Arts & Crafts. It might be one of the last summer crafts since fall is approaching fast. Have a happy Labor Day weekend!

We had a surprise birthday party for our Program Aide Coordinator today. He's turning 50! Theo has been with us for many years and is an all around great person, he was really surprised! Happy Birthday Theo!

Summer Trip!

This year's summer trip was to Grand Rapids! We had perfect days for our three day trip, no rain and perfect weather! We stayed at the Spring Hills Suites in Grand Rapids and the suites were very nice and roomy! We took a day to visit the Fredrick Meijer Gardens, it was so beautiful! We all had a great time and it was nice to get out and explore. Wonder where we'll go next year!

Summer Trip Bags!

Today we made the bags for our summer trip! These will fit on the back of the chairs and we can use them to hold water bottles and whatever else we need might need them for! Everyone is getting really excited!

This year we are headed to Grand Rapids for three days and two nights. We will be visiting the Frederick Meijer Gardens! On Monday we'll be packing up and Tuesday we'll be on our way!

Summerfest '12!

Our Summerfest party was held on Saturday! Even though the weather did not cooperate, we still had a great time enjoying the BBQ and music! We moved from the pavilion, where the party is usually held, to the activity center and the band "Lord of the Rings" kept the party going as they filled the room with great music! We had hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and also had a pot luck with many delicious side dishes! Thanks to all that helped out with making this party a huge success!

Motown in Clio!

Last night we went to the Clio Amphitheater to check out the Motown show. It was a perfect night out, not too hot which is a nice change! They put on a great show!

Frankenmuth!

 What a great past three days! We used the proceeds from the Rummage & Bake sale that we had in June to go to Frankenmuth for a fun outing. The residents got to choose where they would like to eat, Bavarian Inn or Zehnders. They loved the all-you-can-eat chicken dinners! After the dinner, they went to the Frankenmuth River Place Shops and picked out a t-shirt. It was a wonderful time in Frankenmuth!

Concerts in the Park

We went to the Flushing concert in the park on Wednesday night. Performing that night was the "Jump Street" band. The day was beautiful and the music was great too! It was a nice night out in Flushing!

4th of July!

Donnie on the 4th! Everyone had a fun headband to wear to celebrate the 4th. We also had a nice BBQ, it was inside due to the heat but the grilled ribs were great!!
