Another great year for the Rummage/Bake Sale! We had wonderful weather this year, perfect for the sale. We also had a lot of nice, used treasures and delicious baked goods! We raised $356.80! All the proceeds from the sale will go towards an outing of choice, each resident will choose what event they would like to attend. They will pick from concerts, racing, a bull riding show, motocross, and more! We'd like to send a BIG thanks to everyone that donated to the sale and all who helped out working at the sale. See you next year!
Look at all the donations!
New this year - bags of popcorn for sale as part of the bake sale! Enjoying the nice day.
Last Friday we did our annual Balloon Launch! We launched some balloons with notes in them and if anyone found them, we asked them to write us back telling us how far the balloon went! So far, Diana and David have had a note returned to them! One was from Fort Gratiot, MI and one was from Burton, MI. The furthest so far was 92 miles! Wow!

Today we made the signs for the Rummage/Bake Sale coming up next week! Remember to stop on by and get some goodies! Thursday June 4th and Friday, June 5th 9-4! Rain or shine!
It was Cincode Mayo May 5th so we made some homemade sombreros! We even had a contest to see who would win the "Best Decorated Sombrero" - David won! Then after that there was a large Mexican dinner!
Here's Marion at crafts before she decorated her hat.

Today we had an Easter egg hunt at Country View. We had glow in the dark eggs, eggs that stuck on the walls and even eggs that suctioned to windows! The eggs contained candy and even a special few had money. There was even a bonus egg! Have a Happy Easter!
Diana got some money eggs!
Eileen got the bonus egg! Marion is still looking!
Randy is happy with what he got!
Shari is wondering what's in her egg... David is cracking open the eggs and lovin' it!
On March 6th we had our annual Caribbean Luau at Country View. “The Steelheads” Percussion Ensemble and Steel Band from Mott Community College provided wonderful dinner music and a great performance after dinner that entertained the guests. All the lights, palm trees, flamingos, fish and Caribbean scenery made everyone feel like they were whisked away to a tropical island. Everyone enjoyed a refreshing fruit smoothie from the smoothie stand and delicious food. The kids had a blast doing the limbo, getting tattoos and receiving treasures from the pirate who paid us a visit. A special thank you to Curtis Lanxton and to everyone who made this party a success! We hope that you all join us next year for more Caribbean fun!
Here's the activity room all decked out! View of the "ocean".
