Happy St. Patty's Day!

Caribbean Party 2009!

On March 6th we had our annual Caribbean Luau at Country View. “The Steelheads” Percussion Ensemble and Steel Band from Mott Community College provided wonderful dinner music and a great performance after dinner that entertained the guests. All the lights, palm trees, flamingos, fish and Caribbean scenery made everyone feel like they were whisked away to a tropical island. Everyone enjoyed a refreshing fruit smoothie from the smoothie stand and delicious food. The kids had a blast doing the limbo, getting tattoos and receiving treasures from the pirate who paid us a visit. A special thank you to Curtis Lanxton and to everyone who made this party a success! We hope that you all join us next year for more Caribbean fun!

Make a pie and Purple Rain!

Today we made some Jello Pudding pies, they turned out great! Everyone took a turn crushing the cracker topping and mixing the Jello Pudding.

Employee Appreciation Dinners 2009

We had our employee appreciation dinners on the 10th and 12th of this month. This year the dinner was held at Outback Steakhouse. All the employees received a rose, card, certificate and dinner to show our appreciation to them! Carol and Damon even wrote a poem to all the employees. Everyone had a great time!

Presidential Inauguration '09

Today we all watched the inauguration of President Obama here at Country View. What a special day in history!

Country View Christmas Party 2008!

We held our annual Christmas party at Country View on December 12, 2008. The activity room was full of friends and family for the evening to celebrate the holidays! Everyone felt the Christmas spirit as they walked into the activity room that was magically transformed into a Christmas wonderland. The food was great, we tried some new items this year like pork tenderloin with cranberry glaze and pineapple island chicken - delicious! There was also a Charles Dickens guitarist that entertained everyone for the night and we had another guest stop by - Santa Clause! We'd like to thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to attend our party! We wish everyone Happy Holidays!

Stockings!

Today's craft was making everyone a Christmas stocking. We will be decorating the house soon and wanted the residents to have one of their own to hang up! We used stockings, puffy paint and glitter... they look great!

Halloween Party 2008!

The ghouls and ghosts were out on the night of our Halloween party! The whole house was looking spooky as ever! Everyone added to the atmosphere as they showed up in their scary costumes! There was a lot going on; including a clown for entertainment, pumpkin decorating, Theo telling a scary story about Country View, costume and pumpkin contests and treats galore! The food was delicious, including the chocolate monster fingers! Thanks to everyone that helped out with the great decorations and party planning!
