Summerfest '12!

Our Summerfest party was held on Saturday! Even though the weather did not cooperate, we still had a great time enjoying the BBQ and music! We moved from the pavilion, where the party is usually held, to the activity center and the band "Lord of the Rings" kept the party going as they filled the room with great music! We had hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and also had a pot luck with many delicious side dishes! Thanks to all that helped out with making this party a huge success!

Motown in Clio!

Last night we went to the Clio Amphitheater to check out the Motown show. It was a perfect night out, not too hot which is a nice change! They put on a great show!

Frankenmuth!

 What a great past three days! We used the proceeds from the Rummage & Bake sale that we had in June to go to Frankenmuth for a fun outing. The residents got to choose where they would like to eat, Bavarian Inn or Zehnders. They loved the all-you-can-eat chicken dinners! After the dinner, they went to the Frankenmuth River Place Shops and picked out a t-shirt. It was a wonderful time in Frankenmuth!

Concerts in the Park

We went to the Flushing concert in the park on Wednesday night. Performing that night was the "Jump Street" band. The day was beautiful and the music was great too! It was a nice night out in Flushing!

4th of July!

Donnie on the 4th! Everyone had a fun headband to wear to celebrate the 4th. We also had a nice BBQ, it was inside due to the heat but the grilled ribs were great!!

Summer Suncatchers!

Today we made sun catchers with summer themes! There were seashells, surfers, suns, boats and more! They are now all proudly hung in the sun room for all see!

Beautiful Day!

What a beautiful summer day! We went out to the Flushing river walk trail and enjoyed a cold treat in the shade, it was the perfect day to be outside!

Rummage/Bake Sale 2012!

The Rummage/Bake sale was a success! We made a record amount this year, with a grand total of $524.02!! But most importantly, we had a great time and great weather. It was nice to hang out outside on these beautiful days! The proceeds from the sale is going towards an outing to Frankenmuth! Each residents will choose if they would like to go to Zehnders or the Bavarian Inn for a famous chicken dinner! After dinner, they will be shopping at the River Place shopping center in Frankenmuth! Thanks to all that helped out with the sale this year!

Italian Night!

Tonight we had a themed dinner night, Italian night! The dining room was decorated like an Italian restaurant with checkered tablecloths, battery operated candles with dim light, after dinner mints and place mats of Italy! We tried a new recipe, mosticolli, and it was voted a keeper!
