Caribbean Luau Party!

The Caribbean party was a success! The activity center was decked out in Luau decorations, complete with a sunset and large beach umbrella! Everyone brought a dish so we had a great variety of food. We had chicken, vegetarian lasagna, tuna casserole, spaghetti salad, coleslaw, ambrosia salad and more! Then for desserts we had cake, no bakes, chocolate cheesecake, and more! We even had a tiki bar with aquarium Jell-o cups; check out the recipe in the newsletter! The music was preformed by Marcia Allen who put on a great performance, she had all of us singing and dancing! The kids got to decorate their own cups and then played some games to win prizes, they also did the limbo! It was a great time; hope to see you next year!

The fish are back!

Feels like spring! It was 67 outside today, wow! A little windy but we'll take it! Julian took Sharon outside for a nice walk and fed the fish... they were glad to see the pond was dethawed and we bet the fish were too!

Crafts!

We made a Tiki Bar poster today in Arts & Crafts that we are going to use at the Caribbean party next Friday! We are going to have a table set up with Jello cups and cookies, yum! Hope to see you there!

Out for dinner on Leap Day!

Tonight the whole house went out to eat at Fire Mountain. It was a nice night out and delicious!

We made our yearly collage in Arts & Crafts today. We printed out a lot of the photos from 2011 and enjoyed looking through the photos of the past year and seeing all we've done. Next time you stop by, check it out in the activity room!

Appreciation Dinners!

We held our annual appreciation dinners at Lucky's Steakhouse this year. The food was delicious, it just kept coming! Appetizers, dinner and desserts! We also listened to the poems that Damon and Carol wrote and each employee received a special certificates and a rose. We all felt very appreciated. A big THANK YOU to Damon and Carol for giving all of us this special night.

Crafts!

Today we made sun catchers in the shape of angels for the sun room. They turned out really cute and it was fun working with the sun catcher paint!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from all of us! The residents had a party tonight and got to open their Valentine bags and boxes. They also made cupcakes and decorated them with cherry frosting! They really enjoyed reading all the cards from everyone!

Today was the first day of snow we've had in a while but it worked out perfect because we were making snow flake earrings today for the ladies! Here's Sharon modeling them for us!

Today we made our Valentine's boxes to hold the Valentine cards and treats we will be getting up until February 14th! Then we get to open them on Valentine's Day and enjoy our special treats!
