Balloon Launch!

Today was the balloon launch! We sent about 50 balloons up in the air with a note to write us back so hopefully we'll get some letters back and see how far they go! We got quite a few back last year - we have a lot of fun doing this activity!

Scarecrow!

There are many activities we do on the fly that might not be on the monthly activity calendar... for example, today we made a scarecrow for Carol's garden! We named him Billy Bob! The animals will be sure to stay away from this guy!

Rummage/Bake Sale 2010!

The annual Rummage/Bake Sale was a success! Luckily the rain held off both days so we were able to hold it outside! We had tables full of items and had baked goods ranging from cookies to rice krispies treats and even pies this year! Pies were a hot item so we'll be sure to have them next year. The grand total made was $260.31! The proceeds from the sale will go towards an outing of choice for the clients. A big thank you to all that helped out with the sale!!!

We worked on the Rummage/Bake Sale signs and they turned out great! Don't forget, the sale is coming up this Thursday and Friday, June 3rd and 4th from 9-4 - Rain or Shine!!

Blueberry Crisp!

We painted birdhouses for our gardens in Arts & Crafts today. Every year we paint new ones for our gardens, check them out next time you stop by!

Homemade air fresheners!

Today in Arts & Crafts we made homemade cinnamon applesauce air fresheners. The residents rooms are going to smell apple cinnamony fresh! Look for the recipe in the upcoming Country View Newsletter!

Happy 50th!

Yesterday was Sue the Medical Manager's 50th birthday! We celebrated it today by surprising her with a decorated office, with lots of black of course!

Easter egg hunt!

We had an Easter egg hunt in the activity room on Easter. The residents went by groups and searched for their eggs. They were pleased to find candy in some eggs and money in other eggs! We even had bonus eggs for an extra treat. Everyone had a great time - We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
